Coloured glass plus stained glass candle lanterns are a brilliant addition to any home decor. Create a u-shape with another piece of wire. A 10- to 12-in. piece is sufficient to create the handle for the lantern. Dependent on the diameter of your lantern, you might need to double this piece before making the “u.” Attach the u-form wire to the 1st wire by hooking the piece of the handle’s wire underneath the grooves on either side of the lantern. This handle can allow you to hang up the lantern. Twist the ends of the handle into the wire (Use the needle-nose pliers if necessary) and make into the lantern to prevent cuts. Cut off any additional items of wire with wire cutters or durable scissors. Hang chains at various heights in the branches of your favorite shade tree. Attach an s-hook at the ends of each chain. Use the handle of the lantern to hook the lantern over the s-hook on the chain for a beautiful dangling effect. Place the votive candle within the hanging lantern.
